Samsung’s Galaxy devices have always been close to the pinnacle of smartphone design, and it’s latest device is no exception. The Galaxy S III is a 4G enabled device running Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) and a features a number of features that look to keep Samsung as the
world’s leading smartphone manufacturer.
To begin, Samsung’s overhauled its Android 4.0 graphical user interface TouchWiz "Nature UX”. The new skin features nature-like elements such as water ripples when users touch the lock screen, and features that use the device’s rear-facing camera to pan screens while users move elements around. Our only gripe so far with the UI has been its large “scroll bar” that lets users know which home-screen they are currently browsing. While it also acts as a divider between home the static icons and home-screens, it could have been made a little smaller so as to accommodate more on the screen.
SpecsThe Android phone market can seem at times to be
an arms race, with manufacturers constantly delivering new devices with increased power. The Galaxy S III simply adds fuel to the fire with a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 2GB of RAM and up to 32GBs of internal storage.
