LinkedIn recently announced that it's going to be integrating into the next version of Office. Here's what it means for you?
Outlook Social Connector will no longer need a special download to sync with LinkedIn. Instead, you'll be able to log into Social Connector using your LinkedIn user name and password. Any time a LinkedIn connection emails you, you'll see his or her picture, his or her most recent status update, and his or her network activity.
You can see the announcement here: blog.linkedin.com/2012/07/24/one-click-l...-office/?sf5234478=1
My questions are these: What does Microsoft get out of this? Do you think other social networks will seek similar collaborations, and if so, why? Looking forward to hearing what you think...
